Introduction
The Scientific Research Unit (SRU) at Mohammed Al-Mana College for Medical Sciences (MACHS) oversees the college’s research activities and helps achieve its strategic goals. The SRU identifies key areas of research based on the healthcare needs of society and encourages academic staff and students to contribute to those priority areas. The unit also ensures ethical standards in research to protect participants and researchers.
Purpose
The goal is to establish interdisciplinary research in Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Linguistics, and Social Sciences studies at MACHS appropriately and consistently.

The MACHS Scientific Research Unit is a leading academic organization dedicated to enhancing, and facilitating high standards of scientific research in all areas of health sciences to serve the college, the community, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Mission
The MACHS Scientific Research Unit is committed to promoting scientific research in health sciences by faculty and students and disseminating the results for the benefit of the community, the nation, and the world.
Objectives
- Establish and collaborate on research activities in the health sciences.
- Encourage students to conduct scientific research within and in collaboration with other institutionsnationally and internationally.
- Establish and develop research relationships with similar research units locally, nationally, and internationally.
- Ensure excellence in scientific research by staff and students by closely monitoring the standard of ongoing research
- Facilitate research collaboration among students and faculty in the institution's respective departments.
- Maintain a research center that follows the institutional strategic research plan.
- Incorporate research experience into undergraduate programs, leading to research-based learning in academic disciplines across the institution.
