Activities
MACHS will be of service to the community by:
1. Promote educational, academic, and cultural values in the community and raise awareness of the college as a resource.
2. Provide a rich cultural environment for staff and students and spread it to local communities.
3. Accept the role of an intellectual leader and contribute to debates on cultural, economic, environmental, scientific, and social issues.
4. Respond to community needs and expectations consistent with MACHS’s goals and objectives.
5. Establish and support community service opportunities for staff and students.
6. Allow input from businesses, industries, professional groups, and the community in the development of MACHS’s mission.
7. Seek cooperative endeavors with other organizations in the community.
8. Community service activities are one of four areas of expected participation for academic staff. These areas fall under relevant structures and management arrangements of MACHS:
- 8.1. Engaged Teaching and Learning.
- 8.2. Engaged Research.
- 8.3. Extra-curricular/Volunteer work.
- 8.4. Community Partnerships.
- 8.5. Consultancy Services.
